Description
The Pentair Filter Tank Bottom (178560) is the OEM replacement lower housing section for the Clean & Clear and Predator cartridge filter series in the 150 and 200 sq. ft. configurations. This is the Almond color version — confirm your existing tank color before ordering.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: COLOR-SPECIFIC LISTING — ALMOND ONLY
This is the Almond-colored tank bottom. If your filter housing is a different color, this part will not match your existing unit. Verify the color of your current tank bottom before ordering.
The filter tank bottom forms the structural lower half of the Clean & Clear and Predator cartridge filter housing, sealing against the top section to contain system pressure during filtration. A cracked, warped, or leaking tank bottom compromises the filter’s pressure integrity, causing water loss and reduced filtration performance. This part restores the housing to factory specification.

Pro Tip
When replacing the tank bottom, inspect the tank O-ring and clamp band at the same time. A damaged housing section is often accompanied by a compromised O-ring seal, and servicing both while the filter is already disassembled prevents a repeat teardown. Also compare the color of the replacement part against your existing tank top — the Clean & Clear and Predator series were produced in more than one color over their production run, and a mismatched housing bottom is a common ordering error on this model family.
