The Pentair Shaft Seal (U109-372SS) is the OEM replacement shaft seal for Pentair pool and spa pumps, used during motor replacement and routine pump service.

The shaft seal creates the critical barrier between the pump’s wet end and the motor, preventing water from contacting the motor bearings. When replacing a pump motor, the shaft seal must always be replaced at the same time — reusing a worn seal on a new motor is a leading cause of premature motor failure.
