The Pentair O-Ring Tank Replacement (195008) is the OEM replacement tank O-ring for the Pentair FNS series pool and spa diatomaceous earth (D.E.) filters.

Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.

This tank O-ring seals the filter tank body, maintaining a watertight connection under normal filtration pressure. A worn or damaged tank O-ring is a common cause of water leaking from the filter tank seam. Replacing this O-ring restores the proper seal and prevents pressure loss in the filtration system.

Apply a coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring before seating it — this helps it compress evenly, extends its service life, and makes future removal easier. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants; they degrade rubber O-rings and will cause premature failure.
