Description

The Pentair NPT Plug (27001-0022Z) is the OEM replacement 1-1/2 in. NPT pipe plug for System 3 and System:2 series pool filters, sealing unused drain, air relief, or bulkhead ports on the filter tank.

IMPORTANT: FILTER SYSTEM DATE QUALIFIER
This plug fits standard System 3, PLM Series, PLDE Series, and D.E./Sand Filter models without a date restriction. For PLD Filter Systems specifically, this part number applies to units manufactured 2009 and beyond. Confirm your filter’s build date and model designation against your owner’s manual before ordering.

This threaded NPT plug closes off an unused port on the filter tank body, maintaining a sealed, pressurized housing during normal filtration operation. A missing, cracked, or stripped plug is a common source of tank leaks and pressure loss at the port location.
