The Hayward Strainer Cover O-Ring (SPX4000S) is the OEM replacement O-ring designed to seal the strainer cover on compatible Hayward pool pumps, preventing air ingestion and water leaks at the pump strainer housing.

Before fitting the new O-ring, clean the groove in the strainer pot cover to remove any grit or old lubricant residue, then apply a thin, even coat of silicone-based lubricant.
