It is one of WYBOT’s simplest models to run: drop it in, and it starts cleaning, with no complicated setup.

A dual-motor system drives 2,280 GPH of suction, and the wheels are propelled by water rather than a separate drive motor. A dual-layer filter pairs a 180 micron mesh with a textured foam layer to capture both larger debris and fine particles. The A1 runs up to 120 minutes per charge and recharges in about 2.5 hours, a large improvement over older models that took 6 to 7 hours.

It addresses a common limitation of pool robots with its edge-enhanced cleaning: the unit pauses for a few seconds when it reaches the wall to boost cleaning at the edge before resuming on the floor. When the battery runs low, it parks near the wall for easy retrieval. Note that the A1 cleans the floor only and does not climb walls or clean the waterline.

It also cleans the floor only, so it does not climb walls or clean the waterline. For wall and waterline cleaning, WYBOT’s C1, C2, and C2 Vision are the better fit, and the F1 skimmer can be added to handle the surface.

Setup and Getting Started

1. Charge the unit: Charge the A1 fully before first use. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours. The charging port, power button, and LED are on the top of the unit.
2. Set the wheel alignment: Set the wheel alignment for your pool shape as described in the manual, for example the rectangle setting for a rectangular pool.
3. Choose a mode or cycle: Select a cleaning mode, or set the cycle timer for recurring cleanings, following the manual.
4. Place and run: Lower the A1 into the pool and it begins cleaning automatically.
5. Retrieve and clean: When it parks near the wall, lift it out, remove and rinse the dual-layer filter, and store the unit out of direct sunlight. Rinse the foam layer often in heavily soiled pools.
