Description
The Hayward Outlet Elbow O-Ring (DEX2400Z5) is the OEM replacement sealing O-ring for the outlet elbow assembly on Hayward SwimClear Multi-Element Cartridge Filters and ProGrid DE Filters.
IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. Browse our Pool Plumbing Lubricants for a compatible silicone lubricant.
This O-ring seals the outlet elbow connection on the filter tank, preventing water bypass and maintaining system pressure. Replacing a worn, cracked, or compressed O-ring at this location eliminates leaks at the outlet port and restores a proper pressure-tight seal.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
Before installing this O-ring, clean the outlet elbow groove thoroughly to remove any residue from the old O-ring. Apply a silicone-based lubricant — never petroleum-based products, which degrade rubber — to ensure a smooth, even seat and a leak-free seal. Browse Pool Plumbing Lubricants for a compatible option. Inspect the outlet elbow itself for hairline cracks or distortion at the same time; a compromised elbow will continue to leak regardless of how well the O-ring seats.
